James+Aubrey

We were thrilled when we received an email from the very beautiful Miss James about her wedding to the handsome Aubrey.  Especially since we follow her awesome blog Bleubird Vintage.  James and Aubrey could not have been sweeter or more appreciative-I went into labor the next day so you can imagine how pregnant I was at her wedding.  That being said, we were honored to be involved with this very special day.  Meeting Ashley Meaders and seeing her vision come to life was so much fun.  And seeing Brooke Schwab in action (and finally seeing the gorgeous images she captured with her camera) was also a treat.  Arranging flowers to the sounds of The Flashdance definitely kept this pregnant gal moving!  You can see more images on Bleubird's blog, as well as 100 Layer Cake.  

Happy Valentine's Day to me.......

The only downside of being a florist is no one wants to buy me flowers, including my husband.  I decided that this year I would just make myself an arrangement that we could all enjoy.  I found the awesome cupid container at Austin Antique Mall while searching for interesting containers for our upcoming By George Valentine's pop-up shop.  All of the flowers where purchased at Austin Flower Company.  I used sweet peas, anemones, lilac, estrancia, tulips, carnations, scabiosa, chocolate geranium and finally-the absolute beauty-burgundy helleborus.

The Byrd Collective was recently mentioned on The Glitter Guide and we could not be more pleased!
